Facilitating High-Performance Teams

Great teams don't just happen. Facilitate their development.

Facilitating High-Performance Teams is an intensive, experiential three-day program that combines Bruce Tuckman’s stages of group development with Arthur Hull’s group facilitation methodology. Participants first experience facilitation in action through rhythm, group exercises, and hands-on interventions before exploring the Tuckman/Hull Paradigm: Forming, Storming, Norming, and Performing, and the changing leadership roles of Dictator, Director, Facilitator, and Orchestrator. Through simulations, group challenges, facilitation practice, reflection, and debriefs, participants learn to diagnose where a team is developmentally and provide the intervention it needs. The program culminates with Radar -- developing the awareness and judgment to recognize what is happening within a team, respond in the moment, and know when to step back

Outcomes & Results

Participants leave able to recognize where their team is developmentally, identify what is holding it back, and intervene appropriately. They learn to adapt their leadership as the team matures, manage conflict constructively, encourage greater ownership, and progressively step back—accelerating the team’s journey toward confident, collaborative, self-directed high performance.
