John designs and presents professional development programs in language and business communications for the corporate and academic communities of the Asia-Pacific region.
He has delivered programs in 18 countries to more than 25,000 participants over the past 20 years. Organizations that have benefited from his services include Citibank, Motorola
Technology, Thai Airways International, Siemens, and the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange.
John is certified by the Malaysian Institute of Management and the American Management
Association. He is a Mentor Trainer with Village Music Circles of Santa Cruz, CA.
In addition to publishing many articles in professional journals, John writes workbooks for
English language courses and is presently compiling a guidebook on business
communications for Southeast Asia. He has written regular feature columns for Malaysia ’s leading daily newspapers, including Better Business Communications for The Star and Communicating for The New Straits Times. Currently he writes freelance and presents
“Getting Down to Business”, a daily broadcast on business communication strategies,
on BFM 89.9, in Kuala Lumpur.
Although training facilitation is his profession, drumming is his life-long passion. John
presents drum circles and rhythm interventions for corporate team building programs,
conferences and other community-building events.
